HoloMaintain
HoloMaintain is a mobile maintenance and acitivity guidance app for the Microsoft HoloLens. It enables less skilled or less experienced workers to perform recurrent maintenance tasks without additional expert advice, thus minimizing educational costs and saving experts’ valuable time.
Assets and maintenance plans are stored in the HoloMaintain backend system (either on-premise or cloud). Maintenance orders are automatically scheduled time-based and can be executed on the HoloLens or – for more experienced workers – also web-based. Assets, locations and users are identified by QR-codes which are comfortably read by the HoloLens camera. Maintenance work is organized as check-lists. Holo guides show the workers relevant positions and lead their way around the asset. Moreover, videos and documents can be shown on the HoloLens, providing further instructions and hints. Operations of the check-lists can be assigned to specific roles (like e.g. electrician). Confirmations and defect notifications with photos are stored in the HoloMaintain backend and can be used to organize, assign and track repair activities. Alternatively, HoloMaintain provides a mere activity guidance which can be used as a step-by-step instructor.
